How to be a minimalist.
A 30-day protocol — not a vibe. Five domains, six days each, one principle: remove first, then decide what comes back.
Days 1–6 — Skin and body
- Strip the skincare stack to three: cleanser, moisturizer, SPF.
- One source of scent, maximum.
- Fix the sleep window. Same time, every night. Cool, dark room.
- One training pattern, three days a week. Walk the other four.
Days 7–12 — Wardrobe
- Pull every piece you haven't worn in 12 months. Donate.
- Tailor the eight pieces you wear most.
- Two shoes. One belt. One watch. Used daily.
Days 13–18 — Kitchen and inputs
- Replace plastic that touches food and water with glass or steel.
- One pan, one knife, one bottle — best you can afford.
- Cook the same five meals on rotation. Variety is overrated; consistency is underrated.
Days 19–24 — Screens and attention
- Notifications off, except calls and calendar.
- Two feeds, maximum. Unfollow the rest.
- One open tab during deep work.
Days 25–30 — Space and rituals
- Clear every horizontal surface. Add back only what you used this week.
- One slow morning ritual. Coffee, light, no screen.
- One slow evening ritual. Walk, shower, no screen.
After 30 days
You'll have a baseline that's quieter, cheaper, and easier to maintain. Anything you add back from here has to earn its place — that's the entire practice.
